As our community continues to grapple with the Marshall Fire, we are starting to think about rebuilding the baseball community. As we sent out a message earlier, one of our SBLL families lost their home. Even more unimaginable, in our neighboring Monarch Little League, over 50 current or former Little League families lost their homes. To help out with these losses, please consider donating to the following:

• Gear Drive - Drop off new or lightly used gear at Iris Fields the next two Saturdays (1/22 and 1/29) from 11am to 1pm. Full details and the note from Jude, the 8th grader organizing the drive, is copied below.
• When registering for the SBLL spring season, add a donation right before you check out, which will be sent to Monarch Little League.
• Donate directly to Monarch Little League  either through their Gear Replacement Fund or their General Fund.

Any support or help is appreciated as Monarch Little League focuses on organizing their season and getting the players back on the field.
Details on the gear drive from Jude Schechter: Many families in our community have been severely impacted by the recent fires in Boulder county. We are coming up to the spring baseball season and there are approximately 50-70 families that have lost everything and need your help getting baseball equipment for the upcoming baseball season.
I am working on an 8th grade capstone project focused on making an impact in the community. Especially right now it is important to get kids out on the baseball field and having fun. I played little league baseball for 6 years and the baseball field was where the community came together. 
I am asking for your help donating new or slightly used baseball equipment to distribute to kids in Monarch Little League, Coal Creek Little League and South Boulder Little League.  In addition, gift cards can be accepted in increments of no more than $50.
Drop offs will be at Iris fields (16th and Iris) on Saturday 1/22 and Saturday 1/29 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.  It is time to make an impact.  We are looking for equipment that is usable and in good condition for the upcoming season.  Go to your garage and clear out last year’s gear.
