Divisions

T-Ball Division

T-Ball is the entry level division for players, ages 4-6 years old in Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten. The experience is grounded in fun, fitness, and fundamentals while also being a key to growing a child’s love for the game.

T-Ball will run from March through May. T-Ball games are scheduled for two games per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays with combined practice and game, which lasts 1 hour. Games will be played primarily at South Boulder fields including Aurora 7, Martin Park, and Eisenhower.

South Boulder Little League allows friends to request to be on the same team together in the T-ball division. All Coach and Friend requests must be submitted at time of registration.

Please consider coaching, especially for Tball. We'll provide resources and support!


Rookies

In Rookies division, players receive pitched balls from a machine or a coach. Rookies  are 7-8 years old in 1st and 2nd grade. This division keeps score and follows the fundamentals (throwing, catching, hitting) and rules of baseball. 

Rookies will run from March through May. Teams practice an hour or less before each of their games. Rookies games are scheduled for two games per week on Mondays and Wednesday with combined practice and game. Games will last between 1-1.5 hours. Rookies games can not start a new inning after 1 hour 30 minutes. Games will be played primarily at South Boulder fields including Aurora 7, Martin Park, and Eisenhower.

South Boulder Little League allows friends to request to be on the same team together in the Rookies division. All Coach and Friend requests must be submitted at time of registration.

Minors

In Minors division, players receive pitched balls from a machine or a coach early in the season and then progress to player pitch. Minors are 9-10 years old in 3rd and 4th grade. This division keeps score and follows the fundamental rules of the Minor League Baseball Division. 

Minors will run from March through May. Practices for Minors may begin before Spring Break to get a little time on the field before the games start. The actual first practices depend upon weather and formation of teams. Minors games are scheduled for two games per week on Tuesday and Thursday with combined practice and game. Coaches will set the arrival time. Minor games can not start a new inning after 1 hour 30 minutes. Games will be played primarily at South Boulder fields including Aurora 7, Martin Park, and Eisenhower. This year, we may interleague with North Boulder to avoid skipping weeks if we have an odd number of teams. Those games may be played at A7 or Iris fields.

Friend and Coach requests will not be accepted. Mandatory assessments are required for our Minors division during Spring season. This allows us to build balanced teams and helps keep the weekly games fun for all. Minors assessmemts will be held at an indoor facility in North Boulder on March 1, 2026. Information / details will be provided upon registration.

Majors

The Major Division is for league age 11-12 year olds  in 5th and 6th grade. At this division, players continue to develop their skills. Player may be eligible for post season tournament team. In Majors division, all pitching will be from the players to the batters.

Majors will run from March through May. Practices for Majors may begin before Spring Break to get a little time on the field before the games start. The actual first practices depend upon weather and formation of teams. Major games are scheduled for two games per week on Monday and Wendesday with combined practice and game. Coaches will set the arrival time. Majors games do not have a time limit, but are 6 innings long. Games will be played primarily at South Boulder fields including Aurora 7, Martin Park, and Eisenhower and may also be played in North Boulder at Iris Fields. 

Friend and Coach requests will not be accepted. Mandatory assessments are required for our Majors division during Spring season. This allows us to build balanced teams and helps keep the weekly games fun for all. Majors assessments will be held at an indoor facility in North Boulder on February 21, 2026. Information / details will be provided upon registration.

Intermediates and Juniors

Intermediates and Juniors division offers a transition for players between the Little League and High School. Intermediates are 13 years old and Juniors are 14 years old. Division teams will depend on interest during registration.
